All of the funds will support VON Sakura House, the 10-bed residential hospice in Oxford County.
WOODSTOCK - That's $235,073 for VON Sakura House!
The fundraising total for Handbags for Hospice was revealed yesterday evening.
Lots of people packed the Oxford Auditorium on Friday February 6th, despite the cold and snowy weather. They took part in the live and silent purse auctions, the raffle tables, the Golden Ticket raffle, and more.
The Fund-of-Need portion of the night managed to raise over $60,000 alone. Those funds will support much-needed renovations to the kitchen at Sakura House, often known as the heart of the 10-bed residential hospice.
Manager of Fund Development Brittany Bratt says this was truly a work of heart by our community. She would like to thank all of the attendees, volunteers, sponsors, and donors who made this event possible.
