Six different pipe bands will be participating in the Tattoo in Ingersoll on Saturday August 16th.
INGERSOLL - The Ingersoll Pipe Band is celebrating its 115th anniversary with a Tattoo.
A Tattoo is a Scottish traditional concert and Pipe Major Doug Collins says it will begin with a parade through town on Saturday August 16th.
"The six bands will March from our hall on Charles street heading toward Thames street. Then we will head south along Thames street towards the Canterbury Street park entrance to Memorial Park."
In addition to the Ingersoll Pipe Band, the Chatham and Forest legion bands, St. Thomas and London police bands, and the London Fire Fighters Band will all be performing.
The parade starts at 1:15p.m. and the concert is set to run from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event is free to attend, but it's recommended that you bring your own chair. This is a rain or shine event and you can visit the Ingersoll Pipe Band Facebook page for more details.
Doug Collins stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Xander and Marcie on Thursday, August 7th. You can listen to the full interview below:
