The Town of Ingersoll is looking to make it easier for you to navigate their website.
Accessibility was the main focus when it came to designing the Town of Ingersoll's new website.
The site, which had a soft launch last week, took just three months to prepare.
Director of Economic Development for the town, Kale Brown says the new site is an amalgamation of four town sites.
"We include in that the BIA website, the Tourism website, the Invest in Ingersoll website and the town of Ingersoll main website and it's now in one, accessible package for our residents."
"It's equipped with technology to help visually impaired people and people who navigate the internet a little differently than others to actually move around our website quite freely and quite easily whether it be on a mobile device or on a desktop computer."
"It has the ability to increase the size and zoom in on the font on the screen. We also have a translate function which utilizes Google translate to actually change the language of the site entirely. It also has a screen reader where you can highlight any bit of text on the screen and it will read it to you for those who are visually impaired."
The site, which had a soft launch last week, took just three months to prepare.
The site was locally designed by Akira Studio in Ingersoll at a cost of just over $24,000.
The website is meant as a continuation of the Town's new branding.
