All of the proceeds from Wreck the Dress will support the Moving Forward Scholarship Fund through the Women's Crisis Services of Waterloo Region.
BRIGHT - Time is running out to sign up for the next Wreck the Dress fundraiser at Udderly Ridiculous Farm Life.
Founder and CEO Cheryl Haskett says those who sign up will need to wear a wedding dress or another formal gown on Saturday September 23rd.
"We have photographers ready to go to capture moments of you just ruining your dress with our farm mud and straw. We have colour paint bombs and you can also go into our goat area and have our goats help out. You can also get photos with our alpacas."
The photo packages range from $50 to $100 and they also have spectator passes available for $25. All of those who sign up will be able to check out some of the vendors and food trucks on-site, They will also have live music and live pole dancing, and aerial demonstrations from Brass Butterflies.
Haskett says you shouldn't wait if you're thinking about signing up.
"If you register by August 31st, every one of those individuals will be entered to win one of 10 VIP upgrades. So that enables some extra special things going on including photos with our micro highland cow."
All of the money raised will be going to the Moving Forward Scholarship Fund through the Women's Crisis Services of Waterloo Region. The education grants support women who have escaped domestic violence, and the inaugural event last year was able to support 10 women.
