NORWICH - Norwich's Rick Buck Jr. captured the silver medal at the Dubai World Special Olympics Golf Tournament.
Rick Buck Jr. captured the silver medal competing in the Level 4 Division 1.
He says it was great to bring some hardware home.
"Well, it felt great bringing something back to Canada, going down and representing my country was amazing. And a silver medal coming back was amazing."
Buck Jr., who is originally from Norwich and now resides in Tillsonburg, has Touch of Cerebral Palsy, along with a learning disability and he's been playing golf in the Special Olympics for the last six years.
The 38 year-old earned second place after competing at the Yas Links Golf Club from March 17th-20th, shooting 42 in the first three rounds and finishing with 37 in his final round.
