Toyota issues their second largest recall to date.
Another massive global recall has been issued by Toyota.
Wednesday morning, the auto manufacturer said they are recalling 6.39 million vehicles worldwide for issues with various parts ranging from steering to seats. Roughly 2 million vehicles are being called back in North America.
This latest recall from Toyota affects 27 models including the RAV4, Yaris, Camry, Corolla and Matrix, as well as the Pontiac Vibe and Subaru Trezia that were made in conjunction with Toyota.
According to the reports from the manufacturer, no injuries or crashes have been reported in relation to the recalls, but there have been two fires connected to a defective engine starter.
Toyota says they will inspect and replace parts if necessary including steering column brackets, engine starters, windshield wiper motors, air bag cables and seat rails.
The vehicles included in the recall were built between April 2004 and August 2013.
This is Toyota's second largest recall to date.
