A 59-year-old from St. Thomas sustained life altering injuries after their motorcycle collided with a pickup truck at the corner of Highway 3 and Rhineland Road in Courtland.
COURTLAND - A 59-year-old from St. Thomas had to be airlifted to a London hospital with life altering injuries after their motorcycle collided with a pickup truck in Courtland.
The Norfolk OPP say the crash happened at the corner of Highway 3 and Rhineland Road at around 1:40 p.m. on Saturday. Acting Sergeant Ed Sanchuk says a couple of Good Samaritans spotted the crash and stopped to help.
"The OPP would like to take this opportunity to thank the Good Samaritans that stopped to render aid. They made a very difficult situation just a little easier for everyone involved."
An 82-year-old from Norwich Township was behind the wheel of the pickup at the time and they were taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
