There will be an increased police presence in Port Dover today.
PORT DOVER - It's Friday the 13th and even though it's February, you can still expect to see motorcycles on the roads today.
Andrew Gamble, Community Engagement Officer with the Norfolk OPP, says there could be many still heading to Port Dover for the Friday the 13th celebrations.
"Motorcyclists and pedestrian traffic with the sights and the sounds make it really special, so anyone who is attending, please pack your patience, be aware of each other while you're out there, and get to and from Port Dover safely."
He says motorcyclists should do their research before leaving and be prepared for changing road conditions.
"Weather and road conditions in the winter months can change very suddenly and it does create hazardous driving conditions. We're asking anyone who is heading towards Port Dover whether they're doing so on a motorcycle or any other vehicle just to have a quick look at the latest weather and road conditions."
Norfolk OPP officers will be out and about to make sure everyone has a safe and fun time today.
Have you checked tomorrow's forecast? It's calling for a 100% chance of #FridayThe13th in #PortDover. (1 of 4) ^ag pic.twitter.com/Tony198vt5
