Words of welcome were heard more than once at Ingersoll?s council meeting Monday. They were for two temporary additions to the town?s staff. Both the Finance Director and Economic Development Officer needed acting members after the former employees resigned. Bill Mates and Gary Seitz quit last month. Ingersoll Mayor Ted Comiskey says the town is getting along just fine. ?We feel very comfortable and the town should feel very comfortable that things are being looked after and we aren?t losing any ground whatsoever,? said Comiskey. He welcomes Joyce McAndrews as acting Finance Director. ?She has been active in the Treasury Department for a while now and has been able to make sure that nothing slips between the cracks. But we will be filling that position as soon as possible,? said Comiskey. Comiskey says Kale Brown also has the potential to do a great job filling in. ?It?s a situation where we have the right man that is able to sit in and catch up and keep the ball rolling in our economic development position. We certainly don?t want to slip back in any way, shape or form and this gentleman is certainly jumping into those situation and looking after them,? said Comiskey. The Economic Development Officer position needs some reworking before the town makes any further movement.
