OPP respond to a number of theft-related crimes
Norwich was the target of thieves over the weekend.
Oxford OPP say they are investigating two vehicle thefts as well as a residential break and enter.
A home was broken into on Main Street East some time over the weekend, where thieves made off with roughly $7000 worth of items.
And on January 19th, a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado was stolen from the Norwich District Community Centre between 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm. It is a 4x4 Special Edition Silverado with "Z71" on the right and left sides of the bed, wind deflectors on the windows and a fifth wheel attached to the bed.
While investigating this theft, police discovered a 2002 Chevy Suburban parked directly beside the location of the missing Silverado had an insecure driver's side door. Further investigations revealed the Suburban had been stolen from a home on Main Street.
Police are asking anyone with information in relation to the break and enter and vehicle thefts to call Oxford OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
