38 people were given tickets over the long weekend in Stratford.
STRATFORD - The Stratford Police Service handed out a number of tickets during the Thanksgiving long weekend.
Police were taking part in Operation Impact and targeting aggressive drivers, distracted drivers and people driving impaired. Despite have several R.I.D.E checks they did not charge anyone with impaired driving. Police did conduct 3 road side tests and a number of bottles of alcohol were seized.
Police did hand out 38 tickets during the campaign. 10 people were charged with distracted driving, 7 people were hit for speeding, 7 for not wearing a seat belt, 5 were charged for alcohol related offences, another 5 were hit for fail to yield, 3 people were charged for not having insurance and 1 for an unsafe lane change.
