An Economic Development partnership between the County's municipalities is seeking a grant. Oxford Connection gave a presentation to County Council this past week. The City of Woodstock's Development Commissioner Len Magyar says they need support. "Our Economic Development group typically requests $25,000 from County Council to carry out various events like trade shows and that sort of thing. So what we're looking for basically next year is support for three trade shows and some other event that has yet to be determined," said Magyar. He says trade shows have been quite effective to get Oxford's name out there in the past. Council also wants them to look at an investment mission, which Magyar says is a long term process. Council will vote on supporting Oxford Connection in the new year.
