Briefs include a theft in Ingersoll and a Quebec man arrested on Highway 401.

INGERSOLL - The Oxford OPP is asking the public for help.

On Monday at 1:00 a.m. officers responded to reports of a theft at a business on Thames Street South in Ingersoll. An unknown suspect or suspects stole various items, and police were able to get security camera footage of the incident.

INGERSOLL - A Quebec man is in hot water with the Oxford OPP.

At 11:30 p.m. on Monday, officers were conducting traffic enforcement on Highway 401 near Ingersoll and noticed a vehicle driving with no lights on. The vehicle was stopped, and the police found out the vehicle was stolen, and the driver was impaired by alcohol.

As a result, the 35-year-old Victoriaville Quebec man was arrested and is now facing counts of operation while impaired by alcohol, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus, dangerous operation, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 in Canada, having care or control of a vehicle or boat with Cannabis readily available, having care or control of a vehicle or boat with open container of liquor, and driving without proper real light - motor vehicle.

He was also handed a 90-day Administrative Driver's License Suspension. He will appear in Woodstock Court next month.
