Police say two men tried to take a vehicle from a business in Delhi.
DELHI - Two people have been arrested in a vehicle theft.
The Norfolk OPP responded to reports of the theft last Tuesday just after 2:35 p.m.
The vehicle was taken from a business on Highway 3 just outside of Delhi, but the suspects were located by employees on the Delhi Rail Trail and were taken into custody.
As a result, a 43-year-old Norfolk County man is facing 4 charges, including theft over $5,000 of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of break-in instruments, and failure to comply with a probation order. He remained in custody, and had a bail hearing this past Friday.
Also, a 53-year-old man from Norfolk County is facing 3 counts, which are theft over $5,000 of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and dangerous operation. He is being held in custody until his bail hearing in Simcoe tomorrow.
