WOODSTOCK - Police have identified the pedestrian after they were hit by a transport truck on Parkinson Road.
Police responded to an accident at approximately 11:45 pm on Thursday near the intersection at Beards Lane, when the pedestrian was walking and was hit by a truck that was hauling a loaded trailer.
Police have identified the pedestrian as a 50 year-old London man, who was pronounced dead at the scene. They have also identified the driver and the vehicle involved in the incident. They say the name of the deceased is not being released at this time pending further family notification.
A section of Parkinson Road was closed until the early hours of the morning yesterday to allow police to investigate the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
