While there's still a chill in the air -- it's hard to believe another sign of Summer is less than 10 days away.
WOODSTOCK -- The weather may seem like it's having trouble co-operating, but the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority has announced that it will open it's conservation areas to outdoor enthusiasts on April 25th.
Sites opening include Pittock in Woodstock, Fanshawe in London and Wildwood near St. Mary's.
Annual passes are now on sale which gives purchasers access to all three of the UTRCA's camprgounds.
Pittock in particular will have some new enhancements for guests this season including improved washrooms featuring new counter tops, paint and energy efficient fixtures.
The swimming pool at the north shore campground has also had some upgrades along with new BBQ stands in the day-use area.
Pittock Conservation Area will again this year boast 250 campsites and over 5 kilometres of hiking and biking trails among a number of other activities.
Some of the first events scheduled for Pittock this spring include Multi-Sport Canada's Woodstock Triathlon May 25th, and Stargazing for Beginners May 31st.
