WOODSTOCK - It was another busy weekend for the Woodstock police who responded to 109 calls for service for things like noise complaints, collisions, alarms and family disputes.
Police have also released their stats from Operation Impact over the long weekend. Police handed out 28 tickets during the three day period for the following:
" 28 tickets were issued
" 2 - Drive Motor Vehicle - no licence
" 2 - Collision related
" 7 - Speeding
" 5 - Disobey Stop sign
" 2 - Expired Validation Sticker
" 4 - Drive on closed Highway
" 6 - other
Meanwhile on Saturday police arrested two people in a stolen vehicle. Officers pulled over the 2007 Dodge Caravan driving the way through a bus terminal in Woodstock. According to police the driver lied to them about his identity and after a brief investigation police learned that the vehicle had been stolen from the London area. Police say they found over $200 worth of stolen property in the van.
The 36 year old male driver and the 32 year old female passenger both of London were arrested and returned to London Police who continued the investigation.
