The Midwestern Junior C Hockey host their Prospect and All Star Games in New Hamburg Saturday night.
The Merchants suffered back-to-back loses this week after the Paris Mounties beat them 7-5 in Norwich Friday night. A little further north on Highway 59, the Tavistock Braves edged the Delhi Travellers 4-3.
The Midwestern Junior C Hockey League will host their Prospect and All Star games in New Hamburg Saturday night.
The Woodstock Navy Vets have six players heading to the games, Mike Gillespie, Jake Schneider, Nathan Innes, Michael Nutt, Justin Elms and Braden Hutchinson.
As for the Norwich Merchants, they have nine guys heading to New Hamburg tonight. Derek Slaght, Jesse Szabo, Troy Lemoure, Josh Herreman, Zach Easveld, Kurtis Lavis, Mitch Berzins, Braeden Shand and Drake Morrell.
The Tavistock Braves will have six players suiting up for the action as well. Trevor Bloch, Jared Yantzi, Angus Rowland, Matthew Lupton, Mac Kalbfleisch and Dylan Yantzi.
The Prospects will hit the ice first at 5:30 pm at the Wilmot Recreation Centre with the All Star game getting underway at 7:45 pm.
