WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police and Southwestern Public Health a warning the public about reports of a light purple powder being sold as Fentanyl in Oxford County.
A warning has been issued after anecdotal reports of a new, potent drug circulating in the County. It is light purple in colour and looks like a fluffy powder. The drug is being sold as Fentanyl.
In the case of an overdose you should:
- Call 911
- Give Naloxone if you suspect the overdose was caused by an opioid.
- Stay with and assist the person until paramedics arrive.
- The person should go to the hospital with paramedics for further treatment.
