From 12-4pm today events have been planned at the Cheese and Agricultural Museum
INGERSOLL - Families can enjoy some traditional fall fun for free at Pumpkin Fest in Ingersoll.
Curator of the Cheese and Agricultural Museum Scott Gillies says all the classic events are returning. "Pumpkin carving and decorating of course, to blacksmith demonstrations, our popular wagon rides through the park. There's different kids crafts, a candy hunt, and there's different Halloween themed carnival games and races, there'll be face painting."
Also back again is the chance to earn a pumpkin. "They have to go around the whole site," says Gillies. "And then they'll get their passports stamped at each of those spots and then they turn in the passports and then they can pick from our large selection in the pumpkin patch."
Gillies encourages all families to come out to the free event and enjoy a day out with in beautiful Oxford County. "It is geared as a family oriented, family fun day. And there's all kinds of activities. And it gives a chance for people to see what the museum - both the Cheese Museum as well as the Oxford County Museum School - what we're all about."
The event runs on Saturday, October 17 from 12:00 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Ingersoll Cheese and Agriculture Museum.
