Registration Opens for Charity Golf Tournament

All of the funds raised will support Crime Stoppers of Oxford County.

INGERSOLL - It's a fun day on the green, all in support of Crime Stoppers of Oxford County.

The Oxford County Insurance Brokers Association will be hosting it's annual charity golf tournament on Thursday, September 3rd at the Ingersoll Golf and Country Club. Vice President Curtis Zrini says it's always a fun event.

"We get about 100 golfers every year, there's lots of fun prizes and it's a great day out on the golf course with a full lunch and dinner included!"

Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m., the same time lunch begins, and the shotgun start is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.. There's a special hole in one prize on the 15th hole, where you could win $5,000.

Nathan Pye, a member of the Oxford Crime Stoppers Board, says you can sign up by yourself or with a group of your work friends.

"It's $165 if you want to play on your own. With a corporate sponsorship, you can register a foursome for $790."

The corporate package also includes a hole sponsorship.

This golf tournament has supported Crime Stoppers of Oxford County for eight years now, and Crime Stoppers is also celebrating its 50th anniversary. You can find more information about Crime Stoppers and sign up for the tournament online here.
