Police say a suspect was arrested after the Shoppers Drug Mart in Ingersoll was robbed by a man with an axe.
INGERSOLL - It was thanks to some quick work by Oxford County OPP officers that they were able to arrest a robbery suspect in Ingersoll.
Last night just after 8 p.m. police received a call about a robbery at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Thames Street.
Reports say the man wore a mask when he approached employees and demanded drugs. When employees confronted the suspect he showed them an axe he was carrying. The man fled on foot.
Police were able to quickly catch up with him and took the suspect into custody.
33 year old Brian Krall of Ingersoll is charged with robbery, disguise with intent, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, two counts of breach of probation, and possession of a controlled substance.
He was held for a bail hearing.
