The Woodstock Santa Claus Parade will get underway at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - Christmas spirit will takeover downtown Woodstock this weekend.
The Lighting of Museum Square will take place Friday night followed by the Woodstock Santa Claus Parade Saturday evening.
They have 60 entries this year including the Burlington Teen Band and a delegation from. Woodstock's Sister City of Sylvania, Ohio. Their Mayor will be in attendance along with their Town Crier, Scouts, and the Twirling Stars Baton Team.
Everything will get started at 6:00 p.m. and Kristen Broadhagen, the Manager of Special Events for the City of Woodstock, says the parade will follow the traditional route.
"So the construction is cleared as part of our downtown revitalization, so we will start at the Woodstock Fairgrounds, continue down Dundas Street and end in Victoria Park."
Broadhagen recommends watching the parade in Museum Square.
"Every float is judged and the judges will be in front of City Hall, so that's a great spot to be."
Dan and Marcie will also be stationed in Museum Square, hosting the Rogers TV broadcast that will be aired at a later date.
The theme of the parade is A Very Disney Christmas, and you can find more information online here.
