The local health unit is reporting 7 new cases of the virus today and we currently have 4 active cases in Oxford County and 25 overall in the region.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed 7 new cases of COVID-19 today.
The region currently has 25 active cases. Four cases are listed as active in Oxford County, including 3 in Tillsonburg and 1 in Norwich. St. Thomas and Elgin County currently has 19 active cases listed and it is not immediately clear where 2 of the active cases are located.
To date, the Health Unit has tested 14,482 people for COVID-19. We have 112 cumulative confirmed cases, 82 cases have been resolved, 5 people have died from the virus and we currently have 25 active cases. We have also have had three institutional outbreaks since the pandemic was declared. All of the outbreaks are listed as resolved.
