The LPRCA has issued a Shoreline Conditions Statement, Flood Outlook for this afternoon as we are expecting strong winds that will create big waves on the Lake.
NORFOLK COUNTY/BAYHAM - The Long Point Region Conservation Authority has issued a Shoreline Conditions Statement, Flood Outlook for the entire Lake Erie Shoreline.
This includes Bayham, Norfolk County and Western Haldimand County. Strong southwesterly winds with gusts reaching 80 km/h are expected this afternoon. This will cause some big waves on the lake and increased shoreline erosion is expected.
Community flood coordinators are asked to monitor road conditions along the lakeshore. People are urged to use caution or stay away from Lake Erie shoreline areas experiencing strong wave action and elevated water levels. Parents are reminded to keep children and pets away from these areas.
