Downtown Woodstock will be buzzing this weekend as vendors, entertainers and shoppers flood to Dundas street. The 36th Annual Summer Streetfest takes over the friendly city Thursday morning until Sunday afternoon. Woodstock BIA Manager Kelly Morrison says the event will have many of the same activities as the past with one new added feature, "on Saturday we've got a new element to the Streetfest and it's called 'Woodstock Bikes and Blues'. It'll be following a Poker Run; we've partnered with the Hospital Foundation and it's a fundraiser for them throughout the day and it's sponsored by Laidlaw. They'll be organizing a Poker Run throughout Oxford County, five designated stops, and the landing spot will be Southside Park. And from there we'll be doing a police escorted motorcycle parade into the festival". On Sunday, the third annual Streetfest Cruise in support of the Lions Club will overtake Dundas from 9 to 3. For the second year in a row, a midway will be set up along Dundas with rides for the kids and kids at heart. As well, over 30 acts will hit the three stages throughout the four day festival, which is free to the public.
