All eyes will be on the sky in Tillsonburg Wednesday. The world famous Snowbirds will be touching down at the Tillsonburg Airport tomorrow to present their complete aerial display. Airport Administrator Annette Murray says the gates open at 3:30 pm with a barbecue, vendors and other activities for the public. Visitors can also check out the Snowbirds which will be on display before the show. The Snowbirds air show has been a work in progress, "you have to basically start a few years ahead of time with a date and see if they can come to the aiport, if they are available for that date. So when we heard that Brantford may not be able to host them this year, I put in a request to the Snowbird team and said if you need an alternate airport for the August 29th air show, than we would be available" said Murray. The Snowbirds last visited the Tillsonburg Airport in 1995. This show also gives the public a chance to check out the recent renovations and expansions at the airport which includes a lengthened runway and new terminal building. Tickets for the event are $10 per person, children 10 years and under are $5. The Snowbirds will be taking to the sky at 5:30 pm.
