Lots of changes are in store for the Tillsonburg Public Library. Many upgrades are needed within the building including painting, furniture, accessibility shelving, and most importantly the book collection. The town hopes the Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund will help them with the improvements. At the end of the year, the library will also become part of the county system. Mayor John Lessif thinks this will be of benefit to the county: "Tillsonburg will be the largest branch in the Oxford County Library System. Currently, Ingersoll holds that position. And with that comes along the largest book selection and the majority of programs taking place out of our library." The library will join the 13 other branches in Oxford come 2013.
