The Woodstock Police Service Street Crime Unit made two arrests as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
WOODSTOCK - Drugs have been taken off the streets of Woodstock.
The Street Crime Unit has been investigating the trafficking of illegal drugs in the Friendly City since early this year. Last Wednesday at 12:30 p.m., a 51-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man, both of Woodstock, were arrested in the area of Dundas and Reeve Street.
Both suspects are facing charges of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Fentanyl, Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine, and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000. The suspects have both been released from custody on an undertaking.
During the arrests, the police seized fentanyl with an estimated street value of $1,232, cocaine with an estimated street value of $1,380, and $1,690 in cash.
