The Vets and Merchants picked up wins as both teams raised funds for two separate organizations.
Woodstock rebounded from their loss to Tavistock on Tuesday night.
The Vets were sporting their pink jerseys in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month on Friday as they hosted the Delhi Travellers.
It was all tied up going into the 3rd period before the Vets blew the game open with four unanswered goals, going on to beat the Travellers 7-4. Woodstock shot a season-high 61 shots at the Delhi net while Vets' goalie Michael Roefs faced 28 shots.
Woodstock's pink jerseys were auctioned off after the game to raised funds for Breast Cancer research. They travel to Wellesley Sunday night to take on the Applejacks.
Over in Norwich, the Merchants were raising funds for the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario, helping children battling cancer.
The Merchants and POGO were both winners as Norwich beat the Paris Mounties 3-1 and the fans generously donated to the great cause through ticket sales, a 50/50 draw and cash donations.
The Mounties don't have to wait long to seek their revenge as the Merchants travel to Paris tonight for a rematch.
In Tavistock, the Burford Bulldogs edged the Braves 5-4. The game was tied 4-4 at the end of three periods and overtime couldn't determine a winner. The Bulldogs' Tyler Vandenbussche was the only skater to find the net in the shootout, going on to lift Burford over the Braves.
Tavistock are on the road to take on Wellesley tonight. Puck drops at 7:30 pm. Burford are home to New Hamburg.
The Thamesford Trojans clobbered the Lucan Irish 10-4 in Southern Ontario Junior Hockey League action. They'll be in Port Stanley tonight to face off against Sailors.
