Dancers won't want to miss an exhibit honouring Evelyn Hart. Also see the world through a child's eyes, and a Masterpiece by Rembrant
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Art Gallery is unveiling their new fall exhibits on Friday night.
It will feature Silent Partners: Prima Ballerina Evelyn Hart's Signature Costumes from an Extraordinary Career. Social historian Caroline Hamilton tells Heart FM they will feature 35 costumes from Hart's amazing career.
"The exhibition really looks at how important costumes were to Eveyln and how they were made and how she was quite particular in their construction and design so it is quite an exciting behind the scenes look into the world of theatre and ballet. Eveyln was born in Ontario but really got her start in Winnipeg at the Royal Winnipeg ballet in the 1970's and she rose to the role of principle dancer in the late 1970's and she was really one of the first modern dancers."
They will also be unveiling the See What I See photography exhibiting through the child's perspective and Woodstock's very own Masterpiece by Rembrandt as part of the Lasting Impressions: Historical European Prints.
The exhibition will run until the 31st and the event on Friday starts at 5 p.m. at the Woodstock Art Gallery in downtown Woodstock.
