A November fire in Woodstock resulted in the business pleading guilty to Ontario Fire Code violations.
WOODSTOCK - A business in Woodstock is paying a fine.
The Woodstock Fire Department responded to a fire at a paint booth located at 34 Bysham Park Drive on November 13th and quickly brought the fire under control.
A post-fire inspection uncovered several violations of the Ontario Fire Code.
The violations include failure to check and clean spray booth ducts and filters, failure to make records of checking and cleaning paint deposits in the spray booth, ducts and filters, failure to prepare and implement an approved fire safety plan, and failure to inspect the fire suppression system installed to protect the spray booth
The business pleaded guilty to the charges last Thursday and will have to pay a fine of $7,000 along with a victim surcharge and court costs.
