WOODSTOCK - There will be two camps lined up in January at the Woodstock Museum.
The Woodstock Museum has two fun and educational camps lined up for the month of January.
Their first day camp will run from January 2nd until the 6th and it will focus on New Years celebrations. Curator Karen Houston says kids will be able to learn about celebrations around the world.
"Sometimes they're not even on the same date as ours, so the whole idea of Chinese New Year and different places around the world; how do they actually celebrate it, how is it different from what we do and also the history of how we've done it and how it's changed over time."
Members of the Woodstock Museum can sign up for the camp for $120 while non-members will have to pay $140.
The second camp will only take place on Friday January 13th and it will be their Lucky P.A. Day Camp.
Houston tells Heart FM kids will be learning about different superstitions.
"What we think of as being unlucky numbers like 13, that's not the same around the world. In other parts of the world there are other numbers that are unlucky and other colours that are unlucky and how did those superstitions start?"
Due this camp only lasting one day, members can sign up for $28 while registration for non-members will cost $38.
Both camps will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
