OXFORD COUNTY - It was another edition of the Heart FM Morning Show interview with Warden Marcus Ryan.
Many different topics were discussed, with housing in Ingersoll being one that Warden Ryan was passionate about. South Thames Developments Inc. submitted an application for a draft plan of a subdivision. Warden Marcus Ryan says Council approved the application and explains what will be coming.
"There's a green space component that is not being developed, and the rest of the property is a mix of low and medium density; mostly townhomes are what's proposed. What exactly that mix is will work out over the site plan agreement and subdivision plan as it is finalized before it's actually built."
There will be a total of 38 blocks for medium- and low-density residential development to facilitate 442-639 new residential dwelling units. The units would consist of single-detached, semi-detached, and street-fronting townhouse dwellings. Paramedic Services were a topic discussed during the latest County Council meeting. Warden Marcus Ryan says a report is given to council regarding paramedic services, and as council, they really focus on response times. Warden Ryan mentions what is taking place.
"We have now got a hall in Tavistock, and the idea is then that we will be able to redistribute some of those ambulances around the county and have some closer to Tavistock."
Warden Ryan adds that this does not mean an ambulance will always be at the station, but it will have a spot closer to Tavistock to restock and go to. If you would like to hear the full interview from today's Morning Show, you can do so below.
