Woodstock Police Briefs - August 7th, 2026

Briefs include a couple of impaired drivers and a motorcyclist charged with a list of offences.

WOODSTOCK - A 43-year-old motorcyclist is facing a list of charges after an incident on Peel Street in Woodstock.

They include failing to stop at a stop sign, driving a vehicle without plates, driving while under suspension, flight from a peace officer, operation while prohibited, and failure to comply with probation.

Woodstock Police tried to pull them over for a traffic infraction last Thursday evening, but the bike kept going. Officers didn't pursue due concerns for public safety, but they were eventually able to identify the driver and locate the vehicle.

WOODSTOCK - Charges have been laid after a vehicle almost hit a pedestrian in the Friendly City.

Police say the incident happened at around 1:30 a.m. last Friday, and officers pulled the vehicle over in the area of Adelaide Street and Victoria Street North.

The 25-year-old driver was charged with dangerous operation, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, and being a common nuisance endangering life.

WOODSTOCK - Someone from South River has been busted for impaired driving in Woodstock.

Woodstock Police officers pulled over a vehicle in the area of Sixth Ave and St. Andrews Road at around 10:30 p.m. on Friday. They say it was being operated inconsistently with the road conditions at the time.

The 72-year-old driver was charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, and dangerous operation.
