Police say he tried to steal a driving instructors vehicle Graham Street, before operating an excavator at a construction site on Brock Street.
WOODSTOCK - A Woodstock man is facing charges related to two separate incidents in his hometown.
They both happened last Tuesday.
Woodstock Police got a call from a driving instructor, who said he almost had his vehicle stolen. He said an unknown man hopped into the drivers seat while it was parked on Graham Street, but he was able to take the keys out of the ignition and get out before the man could drive away. The man then tried to damage the vehicle before taking off.
Woodstock Police were then called out to a construction site on Brock Street later that morning. Police say the man moved an excavator before he left it unsecured.
The charges against the 28-year-old include mischief over $5,000, theft over $5,000, theft of a motor vehicle, robbery with theft, and failure to comply with a probation order. theft of a motor vehicle.
