A Woodstock man who tried to stuff his hand into a partially lowered car window has a date in court.
City Police were called around 11:20 Thursday morning when a citizen said they saw a man trying to enter their vehicle in a downtown parking lot.
When police arrived, the man took off, causing police to chase him on foot, arresting him the an alley off Dundas and Graham.
24 year old Andrew MacDouell has been charged with attempted theft.
Police are reminding residents to keep valuables out of sight while also making sure their vehicle windows are up and doors are locked.
