Woodstock Police will have extra patrol on the streets for Devil's Night and All Hallows' Eve
It's Devil's Night and Woodstock Police say they are prepared.
Constable Steve McEwen says they typical do not deal with major issues in the city but do receive some calls reporting mischievous activities. "Pile of leafs started on fire, some cardboard and that sort of thing. Those things have happened always over the years, a little bit of mischief, people will complain their pumpkins getting smashed and that sort of thing. Those are the things that go on. We have had some other incidents that have occurred during Devils Night and Halloween, so in general we'll be looking for anything that could happen on these particular nights".
Residents can expect extra police presence on the streets of Woodstock over the next two days.
McEwen says will have extra patrol out tonight and tomorrow monitoring the streets along members of the auxiliary force.
Anyone that witnesses suspicious activity is encouraged to call police.
