The Oxford OPP have laid charges after stopping a driver going 181 km/h on the 401.
BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - A need for speed has a young driver in trouble.
On Monday, Oxford OPP were on the 401 conducting speed enforcement in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim when they stopped a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. A 17-year-old from Caledon was spotted going 181 km/h in at 100 km/h zone and has since been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol, failure or refusal to comply with a demand, and driving a motor vehicle - performing a stunt with excessive speed.
A 90-day Administrative Driver's License Suspension and a fourteen-day vehicle impoundment was also initiated.
