#11 days of AED's from the Andrew Stoddart Foundation continues tonight in Tillsonburg.
TILLSONBURG - The Andrew Stoddart Foundation has been busy this month donating AED's to local sports fields and soccer clubs.
Tonight they will in Tillsonburg at the Annandale Ball Diamond to give an AED to the field in honour of firefighter John Kovacs who died while in duty last year. Andrew's mother Cara Schmidt tells Heart FM this donation is in partnership with the Dave Mounsey Foundation.
"They honour fallen heroes in the line of duty and with John Kovacs being from Tillsonburg, in Oxford County we felt this would be a great way for us to give back to the community that has helped us so much in the past year."
The Stoddart Foundation has been doing the 11 days of AED's campaigns and have been donating the life saving machines all month. Last night they donated one to the Woodstock Soccer Club in honour of Joe Pember who served as the Oxford County Paramedic Chief. Schmidt says they have two more to go.
"We have two more remaining, one is going to Petrolia which is again in partnership with the Dave Mounsey Foundation and the last one is going to Kincoria, which is another rural soccer field where it takes a little bit longer for EMS to arrive."
