A man that staged a stand-off with Woodstock Police Sunday morning is being held in custody. 30-year-old Kenneth Stoker has been remanded in custody until a future bail hearing on charges of Assault, Arson-Causing Property Damage, Arson-Endangering Life, Mischief, and Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm. Police were called to a house on Normandy St. around 3:30 Sunday morning. Police say Stoker was intoxicated and was armed with a nail gun, after assaulting some family members. He cut the natural gas supply to the home, which police were able to shut off outside the home. He then set fire to the basement, causing 100-thousand dollars in damage.
