Board game enthusiasts and strategists are being called out for a special Risk tournament supporting the food bank.
WOODSTOCK - A board game tournament will be collecting food for a local food bank.
Local author, inventor, and game designer Joseph Arena says a Risk Tournament at the Salvation Army Church will be a fun way to help out the food bank.
"It's a food drive so we're saying if you bring a bag of food you play. If you bring a box of food you and 5 or 6 of your friends and family can sit at the same table and play."
The tournament will use special rules devised by Arena himself to help keep the games around 90 minutes or less in length. Prizes are also up for grabs for participants.
It's happening at the Salvation Army Church on Juliana drive on Saturday, November 5th from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The food will be donated to the Salvation Army.
