The Liberal Party has selected Brendan Knight as their candidate for the Perth-Wellington riding for the next federal election in October 2023.
PERTH-WELLINGTON - It's still a few years away, but the Liberal Party has already selected their next federal candidate for the Perth-Wellington riding.
Brendan Knight will be in the running to become their next MP when the next federal election gets underway in fall 2023.
He lives in Stratford with his wife and kids and he currently works as the Executive Assistant for for Mitzie Hunter; the Liberal MPP for the Scarborough-Guildwood riding.
"I have witnessed the impacts of government choices up close through this pandemic. Ontarians have been looking to government for support, with unprecedented levels of need in housing, childcare, education, and healthcare. While the Ford government stepped back, the Trudeau government stepped up and clearly demonstrated the importance of a government that cares about people."
This won't be Knight's first political campaign. He actually ran in the last federal election in Oxford County back in 2019 and he secured 11,621 votes in the end. Knight also volunteered with Pirie Mitchell's Liberal campaign in Perth-Wellington in 2019.
