Possible E. coli contamination is behind the recall of some frozen beef burgers sold by Canada Safeway. The recall includes the Gourmet Meat Shoppe Big & Juicy Burger and the Gourmet Meat Shoppe Prime Rib Burger with best before dates of August 14th. Also affected are Butcher's Cut Pure Beef Patties sold in packages of 10, 20 and 40 -- with an August 14th best before date. The products were distributed in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, B-C and the Northwest Territories.
