Ella Shelton continues to make Oxford County proud.
UTICA - Another gold medal for Oxford County's Ella Shelton.
Team Canada was able to win the gold at the women's world hockey championship in Utica, New York after celebrating a 6-5 victory over the United States yesterday. Danielle Serdachny scored a power-play goal in overtime to secure the win.
It was the best form of revenge for the Canadians after they lost the gold medal to the United States in last year's women's world championship in Brampton.
Shelton will be back on the ice this Friday when New York hosts Boston in the PWHL.
