The Cancer Society is looking for volunteers to help spread awareness during Daffodil Month in April.
WOODSTOCK- April is Daffodil month and the Canadian Cancer Society is looking for volunteers. Volunteers have to give up just two hours of their time selling. Volunteers can sell Daffodil pins or canvass a neighbourhood to spread awareness. Janice Cunningham says that volunteering is great way to show support.
"Lots of times people know someone who has been recently diagnosed or you have lost someone to cancer. This is a great time to get out there and do something to fight back against cancer."
Cunningham says there are opportunities for all groups of people.
"We encourage individuals, families and even workplaces to take on a shift for a day and challenge each other or another business to see how they do. We can bring a lot of fun into it."
There are shifts available to sell Daffodil pins. If you want more flexibility you can canvas a neighbourhood at your convenience in April. To sign up for a shift click here.
