The Canterbury Folk Festival has begun in Ingersoll and is free to all.
INGERSOLL- Canterbury Folk Fest is underway this weekend in Ingersoll.
The Festival will have vendors all across the park as well as a beer tent and live music all day.
Dave Jury of the band Broomsticks and Hammers explains one of the other key features.
"So it one of the very few last festivals in Ontario that is free, there is going to be daytime workshops on the Saturday but yes Friday night, Saturday and Sunday there is performances"
The workshops will have a different feel to them as Kiley Joe Masson keyboard player for broomsticks and hammers explains.
"They are like a song circle, so what they do is pull different members from each band and put them together and everybody takes turns singing a song usually you get two songs each. It's kind of neat because it is all off the cuff and people just choose songs based on the theme of the specific workshop."
Music From the main stage will start their festivities at five o'clock, and for more information about who is playing and when you can go, check out their website here.
