Some of the best chili you have ever tasted will be served at the Norwich Community Centre on May 4th.
NORWICH - The Norwich & District Optimist Clubs' annual Chili Cook Off is back.
Community groups and businesses will serve different kinds of chili at the Norwich Community Centre. Event Chair Kelly Murphy says there is a deadline for teams to sign up.
"We would like to see everyone entered a week prior, so we have a cut off date of the 27th of April, so people need to get there applications in, if they are going to enter soon."
This year's competition will see awards given out for People's Choice and Most Unique Ingredient. Every year they have over 25 service clubs, restaurants and other organizations sign up to deliver there best chili.
Murphy says this is a fundraiser for the Optimist Club, however they are divvying up the proceeds differently this year.
"This year we will be dividing up the fee's from the door and distributing it to all of the participants who will then be able to donate the money to the charity or kids event of their choice."
The event is on May 4th.
