It happened somewhere between Curries Road and Gunn's Hill Road at around 7:30 a.m. today.
Sergeant Ed Sanchuk provided some information in a video posted on the OPP West Region X page shortly before 10:00 a.m..
"The driver of that passenger vehicle was transported by Ornge to a local hospital to be treated for undetermined injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was also transported to ambulance and paramedics to a local area hospital to be treated for undetermined injuries."
Highway 59 is currently closed between Curries Road and Gunn's Hill Road for the investigation, and Sanchuk says it will remain closed for the next several hours.
He also has this piece of advice for drivers out there.
"The roadways are snow covered and with the temperature dropping they're becoming ice covered. Please do us all a favour and slow down, reduce your speed, drive according to the road and weather conditions, and get to where you're going safely."
