South Gate Centre and Oxford Gardens team up for the 3rd Annual 12 Days of Christmas Lottery
WOODSTOCK -- If you're looking for a Christmas gift for the hard to buy for, the South Gate Centre's 12 Days of Christmas Lottery is the perfect idea.
The third annual fundraising event kicked off Wednesday morning at Oxford Gardens, who have partnered up with the seniors centre as the official sponsor.
Coordinator at South Gate, Felise Jones says they are looking forward to another successful fundraiser. "It being are third year, we're finding it's being even more a little infectious. With Oxford Gardens getting on board it's been just this wonderful addition, we work very well together, we're very excited and very profitable for us, help us do our programs and our operating costs and focus on the seniors in our area."
Director of Marketing, Anna Maria Muraca at Oxford Gardens says they are thrilled to team up with the South Gate Centre for this year's event. "We really felt it was a really natural fit. Seniors are so important and we're in the business and we love them; and then you've got someone like the South Gate Centre who puts together incredible recreation and social programs and not for profit, it was just a win-win situation and we're really delighted to be partners with them."
Executive Director of Oxford Gardens, Nelia Hunt echoed the words of Muraca stating both the staff and residents are looking forward to working with South Gate. "They are very excited, yesterday (Tuesday) we officially announced to them about the event and this morning they've been lining up at the front counter purchasing their tickets, it's a great gift for their family and for those that you're having a hard time to knowing what to get them. You have to be in it to win it."
Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased at Oxford Gardens, South Gate Centre, FirstOntario Credit Union, Merrifields Bookstore, Quality Hotel & Suites as well as at the Woodstock Farmer's Market on Saturdays. There are 3,000 tickets available and the odds of winning are 1:250.
The 12 days of draws begin December 26th with a $100 prize and increase daily until the final draw Tuesday January 6th. The Grand Prize draw of $10,000 will be made at Oxford Gardens at 10:00 am. Tickets drawn in the daily draws are returned to the drum for the balance of the lottery which means a single ticket could win more than once
